Global Workforce Assessment

EXECUTION ROADMAP
The final step to determine the pursuit of a global workforce initiative is to review an execution roadmap. This document provides detailed steps for integrating an outsourced staff augmentation model into current operations to achieve the EBITDA outcomes outlined. It covers vendor selection, on-boarding, training, integration, management protocols, and transition plans to leverage outsourced talent effectively. A phased approach is recommended focusing initially on non-core tasks
The assessment is performed in 2 steps:
Does it make sense To leverage a global workforce?
Before you consider scaling your team internationally or supplanting current domestic resources with talent globally, it’s important to understand if there is even a financial benefit to doing so. To help our clients determine this, GWC performs a comprehensive assessment that involves evaluating various aspects of a team's performance, capabilities and costs, then compares them with the potential benefits of leveraging a global workforce solution. To do this, we utilize a proprietary tech enabled solution that we refer to as the “Global Workforce Opportunity Assessment™”.
01
Initial assessment
Our “Initial Assessment” is a cost analysis that includes all cost components associated with both outsourcing and as well as maintaining an in-house team.
These include:
For Outsourcing:
-
Vendor fees and contract costs
-
Hourly / Monthly cost
-
Additional costs for specialized skills or technologies
-
Travel and communication expenses (if applicable)
For In-house Teams:
-
Salaries and benefits for team members
-
Recruiting and hiring costs
-
Infrastructure and equipment expenses
-
Training and professional development costs
-
Employee benefits (healthcare, retirement plans, etc.)
The “Initial Assessment” is typically completed in 2-3 weeks.
Showing all the cost components to determine the total cost of outsourced resources and the total cost of maintaining in-house employees
Total Costs for Each Option
Considers the duration of the engagement or the period for which costs are being evaluated.
Breakdown of Costs Over Time
Considers how costs change with the size of the team or the scope of the engagement.
Scale and Flexibility
Applying a conservative multiple to the savings associated from outsourcing recommendations and showing ranges from conservative to aggressive (based on outsourcing commitment)
EBITDA Calculation
To generate the “Initial Assessment”, financial data is collected for each cost component above. In most cases, accurate figures can be generated through a brief consultation with your finance or HR department.
Once the data is collected, a multi-page assessment is produced to include analysis of the following:
Productivity and Efficiency
Considers the productivity and efficiency of both options.
Quality and Expertise
Considers the impact of quality and expertise on costs
Risks and Mitigation Costs
Factors in any potential risks associated with outsourcing, such as data breaches or missed deadlines. This assesses the cost of implementing risk mitigation measures.
If the basic assessment determines that there is a good financial return on using a global workforce solution, a more qualitative “Advanced Assessment” is then performed.
The “Advanced Assessment” helps our clients further understand the risk / reward associated with a global workforce solution. Our dedicated consulting team analyzes additional data to determine the strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in a company’s human capital capabilities. This gives guidance to understand what kind of people are needed to be hired in order to reach specific business goals. Then, the options of doing this in-house vs. outsourced are compared and presented.
The features of the Advanced Assessment include:
